Scholarships

The Next One Incorporated is known for its “You Gon’ be Some” scholarships. A scholarship named after the late Annie Lou Hutton Summerville. It was instilled very firmly in Alxavier Peebles (our founder) and others to make something of themselves rather than just settling for the bare minimum. Alxavier took the words his grandmother instilled in him and created a scholarship to remember her saying, “You gon’ be some.” Now, The Next One Inc. will continue to spread the words of Annie Lou Hutton Summerville to others.

One of the most important things that we have discovered is that “It is better to give than receive.” We focus on doing just that. Giving to others creates an opportunity to plant a seed in someone's future. We believe that if we do not present an opportunity to succeed to the next generation, we will lack the education to grow as a country.

So far, we have been blessed to see engineers, nurses, information techs, and more graduates from Colleges and Universities who have succeeded in their careers. This motivates us to keep going and search for the next student who may need assistance achieving their academic goals.
